This year’s Holy Week was the longest vacation ever.  I was able to rest and take some bonding moment with my family.  Here are some photos of what happened that week. 

Palm Sunday:

Holy Wednesday:  Was happy the procession passed by infront our house so i was able to take a shot of  them. I was just wondering why the people were walking so fast (parang may hinahabol hihihi)

Holy Thursday:  The start of the lenten season is the start of the “Pabasa” . We always visit my relatives who do this.  Of course we do not join in the singing hahaha but just listen to them.

In the afternoon we attended the Holy Thursday mass (Last Supper and the washing of the feet).  We arrived early so i had a good sit which i can have a better shot of the event.

I remember before, the priest would really kneel below/ or kiss the foot of the ministers (aka 12 apostles) however, for about 2 years now, they just wash their feet.

Sharing a simple pasta recipe perfect for the lenten season    here’s how to prepare it.

Ingredients:

1. Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Add tomato.
2. Add butter and shrimps. Let it the shrimps cook.
3. As soon as the shrimps are cooked, add the pasta
4. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Optional:  you can add some chilli flakes if you like your pasta a bit spicy

Try it   Have a meaningful lenten season.

My favorite pinboards are Churches| Castles| Temple| Mosques, Architectures, Abstracts, Baby Photos and Windows|Doors. I’ve browsed my external drives and found some photos of windows & doors which before have no value to me. Good thing with Pinterest, it made me to appreciate these photos.  Mostly these were taken from churches and places i’ve visited.  Here are some of my favorite photos of Doors after doing some edits.

 Was able to visit the famous Logos Hope ship before it will sail to Subic on March 13. 

GBA Ships operates Logos Hope. Serving others with ocean-going ships began in 1970 with the purchase of the original Logos. Since then the ships (Logos, Doulos, Logos II and now Logos Hope) have visited 500 different ports in 160 countries and territories and welcomed over 40 million visitors on board. Our goal is to bring knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world.

The ship visits each port of call for one to four weeks at a time and open the gangways to hundreds and often thousands of visitors every day. On average, over one million visitors have been welcomed on board every year! The floating book fair offers over 5,000 titles, providing many visitors their first-ever opportunity to purchase a wide range of quality literature.

An international crew and staff of volunteers live and work on the ship. Teams from the ship go into surrounding areas to supply aid and community care. In each port, the ship’s crew partners with local community groups to bring hope and show love to people whatever their circumstance, culture or background. ~ Logoshope.org

 

The ship have been in Pier 15, Berth 4 South Harbor, Manila since February 2012.  If it hadn’t for my cousin, i wouldn’t have known this.  Visited it last Sunday and suprisingly, the line was long.  Entrance fee is only Php20.00 for adult while kids aged 12 years old and below are free.  While waiting to get inside, you may opt to have your face painted by one of the volunteer crew.  Honestly, this will be my first time to go inside a ship

Once inside, there’s a mini theather, where you will learn about what it’s like to live on this unique ship after which, a short  history of GBA Ships are displayed on the wall.

After understanding the history, you’ll be led to their floating book fair.  Each book is priced in units.  That is 100 unit = 100 pesos.  Because there were so many people inside, i find it hard to scout for a book that i will like (my patience that time was not good hahaha)

Of course, browsing all those books and falling in line, you’ll surely get hungry.  The ship has an International Cafe where you can relax.  There’s a kids section too.

If you want to visit Logos Hope, you can still catch them in Subic Bay after that the ship will sail to Indonesia.

What’s your morning rush?  Honestly, i don’t listen to the morning show of Chico & Delamar (swertehan if yun ang station na pinapakinggan sa taxi )  Anyway, i found this book last month while buying some books but somehow, i just looked at the cover page and put it back on the stand.  Later on, everyone in facebook and twitter were saying good things about it that when i was in FullyBooked, i already grab a copy.  While my son was enjoying some of his fave books (we actually found our instant library in Fullybooked), i got my spot and started flipping the pages while laughing to myself.

The Morning Rush Top 10 is a compilation of 100 of the naughtiest, craziest, most laugh-out-loud lists from RX 93.1.  Surprisingly, i majority of the lines were from Loi_Pogo now called “Professional Heckler”.  This guy is really witty.  I always get amused with how he thinks and voice out his opinons.  Aside from him, there is also Oscar Dela Hoya Hopia, with a lot of contributions too.

Now here are some of my favorite lines from the book:

Of course there are still so many funny and sexy lines in the book. I’m not yet finish reading it since i bought it.  If you don’t have a copy yet, i truly suggest that you buy this book. It is definitely a Laugh out Loud!

Yay, it’s been so long since i participated in this meme. Hopefully, i can continue this again.  This week’s theme is BLISS.  According to our friendly web encyclopedia ~ Wikipedia,

Bliss can be a state of profound satisfaction, happiness and joy, a constant state of mind, undisturbed by gain or loss.

The first thing that popped up my mind which moves me to a state of happiness and satisfaction is of course ~ food lol particularly chocolate cake.

This is a chocolate cake of Starbucks which is being served only during Christmas season.  When i saw this, i immediately ordered it.  Good thing that it did not disappoint me.  It’s not too sweet for a chocolate cake even if it is covered with chocolate and topped with whipped cream and caramel syrup. 

You’re going to feel that you’re in heaven after you tasted this cake.  Now call this Bliss hahaha.
