The Sacredness of Life Exhibit
July 28th, 2009 | by upto6only |
July 20 was the opening of my friend’s photo exhibit at FPOP office. Along with here are painters like Dr. Nannette Yatco, Julius Legaspi, Dr. Rolando Talag, Antonio Pelobello, Lorenz Yatco, Ernie Garcia and Puchette Escano.

I am happy and proud of my friend’s accomplishment. To be able to showcase your photographs to other people is already something. Actually, there were only 2 photographers in the said exhibit – my friend Mian and Lorenz Yatco, one of my contact in Multiply. The rest of the exhibits were already paintings.
Mian’s Wall
Mian titled her photographs as:

What Tomorrow Brings

Only By Grace

My Little Sister

Baby Steps

37 weeks

Group Hug
You can see her other photographs at http://mianstacruz.multiply.com/
The paintings were all beautiful as well especially this one.
This was painted by Puchette Escano, Mian’s friend. I asked Mian the cost of this painting and told me that it is worth 2,000. I was surprised with the cost that I immediately told her that I’m already interested in buying it. Then she said that it’s not Php2,000 but $2,000. (hwattttt).
Other paintings included in the exhibit:
Puchette Escano’s Paintings
Anotnio Pelobello’s Paintings
Julius Legaspi’s Paintings
Dr. Nannette Yatco’s Paintings
the 2 photos above were paintings of Actor Ernie Garcia
You can visit their exhibit at the FPOP Office, Hemady St. New Manila, Quezon City. The exhibit will run until August 4. Part of the proceeds will be given to The Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, The Breast and Cervical Cancer Research for Women, and UNICEF.
